SUMMARY:  This position strategizes with BGV departments (internal clients) to help develop their marketing plans and/or support their marketing objectives while determining the priority of, and maintaining flexibility with, multiple job assignments.


  • Lead day to day project management for BGV clients including, but not limited to: Marketing Department, Sales Team, Resorts, Operations, Spas, Activities, Restaurants, BGV Gives, Human Resources, BGV Corporate/Parent Company, Activities, Exec Team, Guest Member, Concierge, OPC (off premises marketing).
  • Act as liaison between BGV departments and company designers and/or agencies, printers and media outlets.
  • Provide marketing strategies and development of logo gear for internal clients, departments and Grand Merchandise.
  • Order, track and stock marketing materials such as swag, print inventory, company-wide logo gear, uniforms and logo merchandise for internal clients and departments.
  • Order print inventory utilizing the "Storefront" online ordering program.
  • Stock the Marketing storage areas.
  • Fulfill swag store order requests.
  • Assist the Vice President of Marketing, Director of Creative Services, Creative Services Manager and Art Director to fulfill various marketing initiatives.
  • Create and develop Press Releases to various media outlets.
  • Oversee research, completion and submission of local, state and national industry award applications.
  • Participate in local TV appearances with TV8 Summit.
  • Support Marketing Department events such as Fall Fests, Spring Owner Parties, Owner Happy Hour events, Ed Party and Company holiday party. This job may require working occasional weekends.
  • Uphold Hospitality Standards, Company Culture, Department Core Standards and observe Company policies and procedures.
  • Be the "End of the Line" and resolve every situation inherited, not passing it along, whenever possible.
  • Follow up on any situation that is not fully resolved at the time of the initial request always giving consideration to what the guest or owner deems appropriate.
  • Strive to close the loop (alleviate or eliminate issues) on any situations that cannot be fully resolved.
  • Respond promptly to all email and voicemail correspondence.
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with all contacts, always being helpful and courteous.
  • Adhere to Company appearance standards at all times, dress professionally and wear name badge when required.
  • Attend and participate in company-wide training sessions and department staff meetings.

MARGINAL DUTIES:  Functions that are not considered essential to the job:

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Follow Company guidelines for environmental sustainability practices (recycling, composting and conserving resources) and participate in the Company's sustainability initiatives.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:  Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, three to five years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

COMPUTER EXPERIENCE:  Advanced understanding of Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with a minimum of two years of experience in these programs.  Ability to complete mail merges, develop spreadsheets and write formulas in Excel.  Ability to operate basic office equipment such as a copier, fax, scanner, phone and calculator.  Must be comfortable with search engines and navigating the internet. Ability to type by touch, operate a personal computer and accurately record time worked in the correct department using the Company time keeping system. 

REQUIREMENTS: Reliable mode of transportation to travel between BGV properties and support locations.

LANGUAGE ABILITY:  Ability to speak, read, and interpret in English.  Ability to read and understand simple instructions, short correspondence, memos, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedures manuals and general business periodicals.  Ability to write speeches and articles in English for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from top management, public groups, board of directors, owners, guests, vendors and co-workers.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:  Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.  Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.  Ability to compute rate, discounts, interest, percentages and commissions.

REASONING ABILITY:  Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
