SUMMARY:  This position operates and maintains the Breckenridge Grand Vacations shuttle to transport tour guests, touring owners, BGV employees and sales agents between designated locations.


  • Drive tour guests, touring owners, BGV employees and sales agents between designated locations following safe and proper driving practices.
  • Assist riders with sporting equipment while boarding and exiting the shuttle as necessary.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on the shuttle; assist with scheduling repairs; update maintenance logs.
  • Ensure shuttle is appropriately fueled and other fluid levels are replenished as needed.
  • Keep interior of shuttle neat and tidy and ensure exterior is cleaned daily.
  • Keep current on resort events and local activities to provide riders with information and answer questions; use "Tour Guest Driver" script to inform guests about the town of Breckenridge.
  • Learn and remember pick-up and destination points serviced by the shuttle.
  • Uphold Hospitality Standards, Company Core Standards and Department Core Standards and observe Company policies and procedures.
  • Be the "End of the Line" and resolve every situation inherited, not passing it along, whenever possible.
  • Follow up on any situation that is not fully resolved at the time of the initial request always giving consideration to what the guest or owner deems appropriate.
  • Respond promptly to all email and voicemail correspondence.
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with guests, owners, co-workers and vendors to satisfy their shuttle related requests, always being helpful and courteous.
  • Wear proper uniform and name badge and adhere to Company appearance standards at all times.
  • Attend and participate in training sessions and department staff meetings.

MARGINAL DUTIES:  Functions that are not considered essential to the job:

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Provide assistance with special sales related projects as assigned by the Sales Administrative Manager.
  • Follow Company guidelines for environmental sustainability practices (recycling, composting and conserving resources) and participate in the Company's sustainability initiatives.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:  Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, six months to one year related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

COMPUTER EXPERIENCE:  Can operate basic office equipment (copier, fax, scanner, phone, calculator) and entry level Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel), type by looking at keyboard.  Ability to type by touch, operate a personal computer and accurately record tips and time worked, in the correct department, using the Company time keeping system.

CERTIFICATIONS and/or LICENSES:  Must possess a valid US driver license and an acceptable driving record.

LANGUAGE ABILITY:  Ability to read, write, speak and comprehend in English.  Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.  Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:  Add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY:  Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.  Ability to plan and execute an efficient driving route based on requested shuttle stops.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:  The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Drive the shuttle vehicle, sit, use hands and fingers to handle, feel or grasp over 2/3 of the time.
  • Speak and listen to guests and co-workers over the telephone, radio or in person over 2/3 of the time.
  • Reach with hands or arms between 1/3 and 2/3 of the time.
  • Stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb or balance under 1/3 of the time.
  • Sit at a computer terminal under 1/3 of the time to check work e-mail.
  • Perform repetitive motion of the arms, elbows, wrists, hands and fingers under 1/3 of the time.
  • Push against something, with steady force, using upper extremities to thrust forward, downward or outward under 1/3 of the time.
  • Pull using upper extremities to exert force in order to draw, haul or tug objects in sustained motion under 1/3 of the time.
  • Lift up to 10 pounds over 2/3 of the time.
  • Lift up to 25 pounds between 1/3 and 2/3 of the time.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:  The environmental conditions the employee will have exposure to:

  • Functioning in the enclosed space of the shuttle over 2/3 of the time.
  • Outdoor weather conditions such as sun, ice, snow, wind, dust, rain and humidity over 2/3 of the time.
  • Car exhaust and vibration of the vehicle when driving in traffic over 2/3 of the time.
  • Moving vehicles over 2/3 of the time.
  • Extreme cold, below 32 degrees, for periods of more than one hour between 1/3 and 2/3 of the time.
  • Office / administrative environment under 1/3 of the time.
  • Occasional service animals.
