SUMMARY:  This position will be the expert in quantitative and qualitative market analysis for the Breckenridge Grand Vacations Marketing and Sales departments. The position is responsible for identifying key market statistics, interpreting findings, and helping marketing and sales managers understand existing and new marketing strategy performance. This position will analyze the effectiveness of campaigns to increase owner acquisitions - data will be analyzed to create actionable tasks that improve campaign success.


  • Prioritize technical and data solutions with the Business Intelligence department to ensure marketing and sales initiatives and reports are being completed on time, delivering expected value, and completed in order of priority to the business.
  • Leverage Tableau and MS Excel for analysis, reporting, dashboard building, self-service support, and staying abreast of changes and improvements with the software to maximize value.
  • Perform data mining, predictive analytics support, program analysis activities within the marketing organization, and campaign segmentation building. 
  • Develop processes for customer and owner list building, segmenting and targeting.
  • Analyze data with standard statistical methods, interpreting the results, and providing written summary of data analyses.
  • Participate in development and maintenance of analytic infrastructure, perform rigorous program analysis, and perform sophisticated customer-level analyses.
  • Leverage data analysis skills to perform full lifecycle analytics including requirements gathering and analysis, data quality assessment, data profiling, and design and development of analytic data sets.
  • Work closely with Business Intelligence Team to identify and perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) from both relational databases and flat-file sources.  Work with various teams to understand requirements and potential uses for predictive and descriptive models.
  • Develop and execute strategies for developing advanced queries, selects and marketing reports. Provide analytical support for campaign strategy development, campaign test and measurement design and post-campaign analysis.
  • Work closely with department managers and executive/vice president team, fostering open communications.
  • Uphold and ensure all staff upholds the Hospitality Standards, Company Culture, Department Core Standards and observe Company policies and procedures.
  • Be the "End of the Line" and resolve every situation inherited, not passing it along, whenever possible.
  • Follow up on any situation that is not fully resolved at the time of the initial request.
  • Strive to close the loop (alleviate or eliminate issues) on any situations that cannot be fully resolved.
  • Respond promptly to all email and voicemail correspondence.
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with all contacts, always being helpful and courteous.
  • Attend, support, develop and/or conduct company training sessions and department meetings. Attend outside training sessions as needed.  Organize staff "SPIF's" and one "Listening Session" each year with the entire staff.


  • Provide support for ad hoc analytical projects, including customer-level analysis, segmentation analysis, product affinity and customer profiling analysis.
  • Participate in ongoing decisions concerning data collections, study design, methodology, and data analysis.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Follow Company guidelines for environmental sustainability practices (recycling, composting and conserving resources) and participate in the Company's sustainability initiatives.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree from a four-year university or college in Economics, Statistics, Math, Computer Science, Marketing or other related fields; or equivalent combination of education and related experience.

COMPUTER EXPERIENCE:  Ability to type by touch, operate a personal computer and accurately record time worked, in the correct department, using the Company time keeping system. Has strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio), and is proficient in Tableau and/or other complex analytical tools. Ability to utilize appropriate programs using a mobile device.

LANGUAGE ABILITY:  Ability to speak, read, write and interpret in English. Ability to speak effectively and present information to guests and owners, other employees of the organization and upper level management.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:  Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations.  Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
